Victoria Lo, OT Reg. (Ont.) Occupational Therapist

Victoria graduated from the University of Toronto with a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy (MScOT) in 2009. Prior to receiving her Masters degree, Victoria completed her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Waterloo.

Victoria specializes in school health, early intervention, sensory integration therapy, and primitive reflex integration. Victoria’s therapeutic approach focuses on creating a safe and supportive environment where every child can be their authentic self. She believes in meeting children where they are and taking small, meaningful steps together with the caregiver and child to build up their skills set.

Her love for pediatrics stems from her years of experience in school-health. She has a keen interest in sensory integration and is committed to promoting emotional well-being and meaningful participation in children through sensory-based activities. Victoria is the Clinic Director of DOTS4Kids, where she is honored to lead a team that shares a commitment to making a meaningful difference in the lives of the children.

Outside of her work, Victoria prioritizes her mental and physical well-being by regularly committing to gym workouts and yoga practice. She is a dedicated mom of two daughters who are actively involved in competitive softball. She spends much of her time driving them to practices, games and tournaments, fully immersing herself in their athletic pursuits. Go Whitby! When there is a moment of rest, her happy place is by the lake with a cup of hot coffee in hand.

Katie Groves, Rehab Assistant – Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA)

Katie graduated from Carleton University in 2022 with a degree in General Psychology and a double minor in Disability Studies and Neuroscience and Mental Health. She then went on to complete the Occupational/Physical Therapy Assisting Program at Algonquin College and graduated in the spring of 2024. While Katie has completed her schooling for now, she is still committed to being a lifelong learner in the pediatric world, to ensure that she is providing the most effective therapeutic interventions for all of her clients.

Wherever Katie goes, she prioritizes comfort, and connection to create an optimal therapeutic environment while working towards the goals tailored to each child’s unique journey. She approaches her sessions with play-based interventions that encourage meaningful participation from the child, while also drawing on her education around neuro-psychology, and nervous system regulation, in order to develop the functional skills necessary to achieve perpetual success. Katie leans on her innate ability to connect with children to foster a space that ultimately promotes self-regulation and positive self-esteem.

Outside of the clinic, Katie enjoys spending time with her partner, friends, and family. More importantly, she eagerly goes home to her two dogs, Winston and Molly, to shower them with the love they demand and deserve. Katie prioritizes mental and physical wellness for herself and those around her through different mindfulness practices, and whenever there is a spare moment, enjoys working on different puzzles while watching her favorite show, The Office.
